Session Experience
Sessions are calm, focused, and non-invasive.
The process does not require reliving experiences, analyzing memories, or consciously processing events. Instead, the session follows the body’s prioritization signals.
To identify areas of energetic imbalance, sessions use a structured biofeedback technique commonly referred to as muscle testing. The practitioner uses subtle physical signaling on their own body to receive yes/no feedback guided by the client’s system. The client does not perform any physical testing.
Because this is a bioenergetic practice rather than physical manipulation, sessions are conducted virtually without altering the structure of the process.
Following a session, some individuals report feeling clearer or more settled. Others notice subtle changes over the days, weeks, or even months that follow. Experiences vary.
There is nothing to force or manage. Hydration, rest, and space for rebalancing are often sufficient.

Do I need to give permission for an energy balancing session?
Yes. Consent is always required. Sessions are only offered when an individual has clearly given permission. This ensures that the process respects personal boundaries and is aligned with the client’s readiness and intention.
Can this predict the future?
No. Energy balancing is not a predictive or psychic method. It is a process aimed at supporting energetic balance in the body.
Do I have to talk about my emotions during a session?
No. Sharing personal stories or emotions is not required. Energy Balancing uses muscle testing to identify and clear trapped emotions, body imbalances, or limiting beliefs without the need for detailed discussion. Clients are free to share as much or as little as they choose.
Will the practitioner know my deepest secrets?
No, the practitioner cannot discover anything you subconsciously or consciously want to keep private. Your body always protects your privacy and will not reveal anything you prefer to keep to yourself.
Can this help with physical symptoms?
Energetic imbalances can sometimes influence physical well-being. While individual experiences vary, many people report feeling relief from tension or discomfort. Energy balancing is designed to help support emotional balance, which may promote a more harmonious mind-body connection and overall well-being. As with any approach, results can vary from person to person, and there are no guarantees.
How long does a session last?
Sessions are 45-60 minutes depending on your own body’s needs.
What is muscle testing?
The practitioner uses remote muscle testing, a technique drawn from kinesiology, to detect subtle muscle responses in their own body while communicating with the client’s subconscious. The idea is that changes in muscle strength can reflect internal imbalances or disruptions. While the Birch Cove practitioner is not a licensed kinesiologist, they are certified to use muscle testing as part of Emotion Code sessions.
How do the sessions work remotely?
All Energy Balancing sessions are conducted via Zoom.
The work does not involve physical manipulation or touch. Instead, it uses a structured biofeedback method (commonly referred to as muscle testing), in which the practitioner uses subtle physical signaling on their own body to receive yes/no feedback guided by the client’s system.
Because the process focuses on identifying energetic imbalances rather than performing physical intervention, physical proximity is not required. Clients simply need a quiet, private space where they can sit comfortably during the session.
No special preparation or equipment is needed.
How many sessions do I need?
It varies from person to person. Some individuals find one session sufficient, while others may require additional sessions depending on the focus. Sessions are spaced at least three days apart to allow the body time to integrate and process the release of emotions. Typically, 5-12 emotions are addressed per session to avoid overwhelming the system.
What happens after a session?
During the 1–3 days following a session, some individuals may experience a variety of feelings, sleepiness, or sensations in the body as the body adjusts. A small percentage of people may notice echoes of the emotions that were released. At the same time, many individuals report feeling lighter, calmer, or more balanced. These experiences vary and may take a few days to fully integrate.
What is a biomagnetic field of the body?
The biomagnetic field refers to the electromagnetic field generated by the electrical activity of the body’s cells, tissues, and organs. This field, as part of the body’s biofield, can influence emotional, physical, and mental well-being. Scientific tools such as ECG (electrocardiogram) and EEG (electroencephalogram) detect the electrical signals of the heart and brain, respectively, providing evidence of the body's bioelectrical activity. In Western medicine, the body's systems, such as the nervous and circulatory systems, are understood to play a key role in the body’s energy flow and communication.
