Dr. Melissa Milanak

Melissa E. Milanak Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist, executive coach and consultant, and keynote speaker specializing in improving workplace effectiveness and quality of life by helping professionals develop a mindset focused on successfully overcoming various work and personal challenges. She founded MIND Impact Consulting LLC, transforming her passion for helping others succeed and her research and clinical expertise in anxiety, sleep disorders, stress, PTSD, trauma and workplace well-being into effective practical application for business executives and their organizations.

Upon completing her degree at Bucknell University, Melissa earned her Ph.D. in Clinical & Community Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed her post-doctoral training at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she maintains an active academic career as an Associate Professor providing clinical services, directing continuing education, and fundraising initiatives for the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, as well as conducting federally-funded research. In addition to speaking and training throughout the U.S.A. and internationally, Dr. Milanak has leveraged over a decade of sales and marketing experience to now work as a Clinical Assessment Advisor for Psychological Assessment Resources (PAR), helping organizations effectively utilize assessments to augment best practices.

As an executive member of the Birch Cove Collective, Melissa is integral to advising, building and developing our professional expertise in well-being, in addition to enhancing our capability in both pre-designed and custom well-being programs for our clients. Dr. Milanak is one of our senior advisors, executive program directors, and speakers while also being our resident expert in: sleep, anxiety, stress, and trauma. Dr. Milanak advances content development related to behaviors in business, effective communication, healthy coping skills, creating balance, managing difficult personalities, realistic degrees of perfection, overcoming negativity in business, navigating really really hard conversations, and professionally managing chronic stress.
