Have you plugged yourself in today for a recharge?

Find what refills you, energizes you, and makes you feel good. If you’re feeling unbalanced, skeptical, fearful, exhausted, depleted, listless, irritable, and can’t be bothered to be bothered about anything,

Then it’s time for a recharge.

Pick one thing today that makes you feel good, give in to it, and go do it.

Resist the urge to overthink it, and come up with 1,000,000 reasons why you can’t.

Choose you for once. Invoke a self care moment so that you can recharge. You are infinitely more valuable than your phone, so treat yourself to a spot of recharge time.

  • If that one thing that comes to mind to recharge you is that you feel like climbing into bed, consciously and actively choose that. Pull the covers over your head and go for that rest time. Give yourself permission to enjoy it, guilt-free.

  • If it’s to say no to another Zoom call - then politely decline. You do not have to justify why or give a reason.

  • If it’s meditating go do it, if it’s watching a favorite episode of TV, go do it, if it’s doodling - doodle!

  • There is no wrong answer; what would make you feel good, right this minute?

  • If you can’t think of something right this minute, then say to yourself you’re ready to get that nudge, that burst of inspiration of what might make you feel good.

Invest in the idea that something will come to you, an idea that will really nourish your mind, body, and spirit.

Find and do what makes you feel good today, so you can recharge.

And remember, it’s not necessarily going to be the same thing everyday, and it’s also not going to be the same as your family or friends might choose, or what they might suggest for you. You are an ever growing, ever evolving human-being and your needs will change.

Getting to know yourself will help you evolve and ultimately give you so much back in return. More on that next week!
